The construction of the new Surfside Pier in South Carolina is underway, with the pier’s podium completed and the trestle nearly 70 percent complete. Surfside Beach’s zip code is 29587. The pier is scheduled to be completed in March 2023, though it may be more quickly than that. Consensus Construction will bring in a third crew for the completion of the project. The pier will be ready to walk by then.

The town council plans to fill the pier when it is finished, and it was recently approved by the town council. Wild Water & Wheels is the outdoor water park that offers summer’s ultimate adventure. It features soaring slides and winding go-kart tracks as well as pools. More than 100 holiday parade floats, marching bands and local performers make up the Surfside Beach Christmas Parade. It is about one and a half miles in length and starts at Melody Lane. From there, it travels north on Ocean Boulevard before turning right onto Surfside Drive. Poplar Drive is the end of the parade route. Arrive early for the best viewing spots! Here are a few things to do when visiting the Surfside Beach Christmas Parade.

Broadway at the Beach Christmas Parade starts and finishes in the middle of the town. Parade participants can expect floats as well as walking groups. The event starts at 11 a.m. and ends near WonderWorks. Spectators can catch the Christmas parade at any official viewing location, or simply donate money to a local charity. Donations are welcome at the designated drop-off points. So bring your baggie filled full of holiday treats!

For a more family-friendly holiday tradition, head to McClean Park for the Christmas Tree Lighting. Live music and caroling will take place, as well as refreshments.
